Bob Balzar, - vice president for energy efficiency of Tennessee Valley Authority

Elsa Barboza, SCOPE - Los Angeles, one of the nation's leading grassroots organizing and policy organizations carrying out a successful green jobs campaign in South Central Los Angeles.

Karen Monahan, Sierra Club Environmental Justice Organizer from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Karen has worked on green jobs  on both the grassroots and policy level.

Lindsay Ruprecht -Action Housing in Pittsburgh, PA.   She is part of a coalition that is creating a large-scale weatherization project in Pittsburgh.

Donna Adkisson - Wider Opportunities for Women, Washington DC.  WOW is actively working on green jobs for women and is one of the leading organizations in the country working on economic equity for women.

We have an arrangement with the Comfort Inn for a special rate for the Conference. Comfort Inn is located at 412 White Bridge Place, Nashville, TN 37209. Phone: (615) 356-0888. It is about one mile from Global Education Center and Cohn Adult Learning Center, where the Conference will be held. When you make your reservation, please tell them you are with Tennessee Alliance for Progress, and you will get a special rate of $64.95 plus $2.50 occupancy tax. TAP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization so you should not have to pay sales tax.

Home stay

If you would like to stay in a private home, please let us know what sort of housing you need, such as single, double and how many people are in your party.
