Welcome Home Video Campaign
History tells us that music can be a powerful tool for social change. Shelby Bottom Duo was inspired to write a song called Welcome Home as a theme song for the Welcome Home Campaign for Affordable Housing. You can listen to the song and read the lyrics HERE. We need to raise $3000 to make a music video of the song.
Each verse in the song is about a population that has been impacted by Nashville’s lack of affordable housing. We have enlisted the enthusiastic support of five partner organizations to help us co-create this video: Homes For All, Open Table, Veterans for Peace, Workers Dignity and American Federation of Musicians Local 257.
This video will be a tremendous educational and promotional tool to forward the goals of Nashville Organized for Action and Hope Affordable Housing Task Force and the Welcome Home campaign. Nashville needs to build 31,000 units of affordable housing by 2025. We need dramatic movement to meet this goal!
Can you help us? We are looking for 30 affordable housing advocates to give us $100 but any amount you can give will be appreciated. You can make your tax-deductible donation HERE. You can also send a check to TAP, PO Box 60338, Nashville, TN 37206. Please earmark it "housing." Thanking you in advance for your support of affordable housing in Nashville!
